Open Letter to Anyone Considering a Horse Trainer

I want to share my experiences of using Dan Keen as a horse trainer. But first, you need to know just a little about me to judge what I say.

I am currently a weekend trail rider and a formerly serious combined driving competitor. My knowledge of horse trainers come from many sources starting with John Lyons when he was first getting started. I recognized Lyon 's talents and spent some time at clinics around the country with him to promote him - including authoring some articles about him in national magazines. I've been to clinics by all of the well known names including Pat Parelli, Ray Hunt and many more. In addition, I was privileged to share a barn with Betina Drummond, who trained with the classical master Nuno Oliveira. I spent a summer watching training sessions from a former instructor of the Spanish Riding School .

There's more but I won't bore you - the point is I've seen some of the best horse handlers that exist.

I would put Dan Keen up against any of them. But Dan is no copy cat. Dan is an original. He has his own program that is unique to him and has been proven over the years to work. In fact, it works particularly well with "energetic" dressage horses.

I first heard about Dan from a fellow driver. This driver can afford to send his horses anywhere in the US and he recommended Dan to me because I was having a few problems with a newly purchased five year old. What happened to my horse happens to them all. The horses return extremely soft and responsive. Obedient, not fearful - like a completely different horse.

However, after getting home, I discovered the real truth of the matter. I was AFRAID to ride by myself due to an earlier bucking incident.

Dan was generous with his time and help and had a complete program to help me get my confidence back. For me, that was a huge step forward.

I don't know your story or your horse but I can say, without hesitation, that you won't find a better trainer than Dan Keen. It doesn't matter if you have a young horse, green horse, problem horse or small annoying issues or large dangerous issues with your horse. Dan can help. And if you need to overcome any confidence problems, Dan's your answer for that as well. There's simply no one better anywhere.

Sincerely,
Mary Ann Swim

PS. Dan also helped me with an abused, rescued hot little Paso who had a variety of issues to overcome! Thanks to Dan, this little Paso is now my favorite trail horse. Whatever you and your horse need help with, Dan will help you through it.
